How comQuest started
In 2003, comQuest was created based on the requirements on 2 large global clients to solve an urgent problem of gathering disparate data from around the world and from different companies. They had a need to gather both financial and non-financial data from quickly and easily and report it in many different formats. Most of this data did not exist in ERP or operational systems or was not easily accessed.
This data was for a variety of uses such as Corporate Social Reporting, Environmental, Health and Safety Reporting and Human Performance Reporting. Building such application was an area our team had expertise in and the comQuest application was created to solve this problem.
The comQuest application began it development in South Africa and as the number of clients expanded, it made sense to expand development in Australia, where the company was expanding and all development is now based.
The comQuest vision is to provide a simply to use, quick to implement, cost effective solution to help organisations gather different data sets from anywhere and allow it to be reported in any format. The idea is that as most of the data is text or grids, is constaly changing is is not necessary to intergate as it is quicker to capture the data-almost most data is capturing thoughts, ideas, comments and goals.
The comQuest team has grown over the past years and the distribution of comQuest has expanded throughout Australia, to the UK, Denmark, South Africa and Asia. In addition, a number of partners have been established both in Australia and Europe to help promote and assist clients with comQuest.
The vision for the future is to continue to grow the number of clients around the world but also expand the intended use of the comQuest Application to address Carbon Emmisson Trading and other clients needs.

Ultimately, we see comQuest providing a company with a knowledge database from which any data which was previously never stored centrally, can be retrieved, analysed and reporting - all without any technical IT knowledge needed.
